THE LEGEND OF VALENTINO (ABC-TVM 11/23/75)

Romantic drama based on the life and the myth of Rudolph Valentino (Franco Nero), who became a silent-screen idol and the movies first and most famous sex symbol. The story begins in 1920 when writer June Mathis (Suzanne Pleshette) discovers the struggling Italian immigrant and sees potential in him as an actor.

This story combines the facts of Valentino’s rise to success, his unhappy personal life and his early death with speculation about his relationship with June Mathis, the screenwriter.
