The 1971-72 ABC drama series featured James Franciscus in the role of Mike Longstreet, a skilled insurance investigator for the Great Pacific Casualty Insurance Company in New Orleans. Longstreet recently became blinded by a mysterious explosion, which also killed his wife.

As part of his continued rehabilitation and personal growth Longstreet gets self-defense instruction from martial arts teacher Li Tsung (Lee).
