Produced by Famous Studios and distributed to movie theaters by Paramount Pictures, Herman and Katnip emerged from the studio’s Noveltoons cartoons. Herman had appeared as early as 1944, with actor Arnold Stang providing his distinctive voice. Katnip, voiced by Sid Raymond, became his familiar adversary, and their rivalry eventually earned its own cartoon series. Their theatrical adventures continued through 1959, ending with Katnip’s Big Day.

Whether you remember them from childhood television or are discovering their antics for the first time, this collection offers a chance to revisit a memorable pair of classic cartoon troublemakers.
