Get ready to laugh, sing, and celebrate the magic of Bette Midler with this must-own 2-DVD set of her only sitcom venture!

Filled with witty one-liners, slapstick comedy, and unforgettable guest stars, Bette follows the daily misadventures of Bette Midler, playing a fictionalized version of herself, as she navigates the ups and downs of her career and personal life with her signature humor, charm, and larger-than-life personality. , Bette faces the ups and downs of being a supersta while also juggling the demands of being a wife and mother. Her funny escapades and heartfelt moments make this series a must-watch for all.

The core of the stories focuses on Bette's personal life in her luxurious Los Angeles home. Her husband of nearly 20 years, Roy (Kevin Dunn, eps. 1-12; Robert Hays, eps. 16-18) is an earnest college history professor, and their 13-year-old daughter, Rose (Lindsay Lohan (pilot episode), Marina Malota, eps. 2–18) is bright, active, and not the least bit fazed by her mother's celebrity.

Embarking with Bette on her long, wild journey around showbiz is her hardworking best friend and manager Connie Randolph (Joanna Gleason) and her veteran musical director/accompanist, the refined Englishman Oscar (James Dreyfus).

Throughout the series, Bette is joined by an array of fabulous guest stars, adding to the show's star-studded appeal. Look for appearances by Olivia Newton-John, Oprah Winfrey, Dolly Parton, Danny DeVito, Tony Danza, Jon Lovitz, Tim Curry, Fred Willard, Meredith Vieira, Star Jones, Joy Behar, Lisa Ling, Kobe Bryant, David James Elliott, Sharon Lawrence, George Segal, Jenifer Lewis, John Michael Higgins, and Ashley Tisdale.

Sadly, the series only lasted 18 episodes (16 aired and 2 unaired before cancellation).  Bette had the foundation to be one of CBS’s long-running sitcoms with its well put together casting, witty writing, and great direction, but “things” happened along the way. The show turned out not to be the monstrous success the network had hoped it would be, but it was a modest hit. Its major downfall was being placed on Wednesdays at 8 PM, up against the new night of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” on ABC and the Emmy-winning “Malcolm in the Middle” on Fox.

Whether you're a longtime fan of Bette Midler or discovering her for the first time, this sitcom will have you laughing from start to finish. It's the perfect blend of music, comedy, and heartfelt moments that only "The Divine Miss M" can deliver. A truly a must-have for all Bette Midler fans!
