The Addams Family – developed from Charles Addams’ famous New Yorker cartoon strip – was basically a one-joke show – The running gag of outsiders trying to cope with the Addams’ ghoulish world; Fester’s headache cures in the torture chamber; Pugsley’s spectacular train set wrecks; Morticia’s taste for the macabre and bizarre, etc.

Welcome to the delightfully eerie and endlessly entertaining world of The Addams Family! This beloved 1960s TV series brings to life the spooky, kooky, and altogether ooky family that has captured the imaginations of audiences for generations.

Join Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Lurch, Grandmama, Wednesday, and Pugsley in their ghoulishly charming Victorian mansion at number 0001 Cemetery Lane in suburban New York – right next door to an overgrown cemetery, where the bizarre is the norm and the macabre is just part of everyday life. Whether it's Gomez's madcap schemes, Morticia's elegant charm, or Uncle Fester's electrifying antics, this eccentric clan finds humor in the dark and celebrates the weird and wonderful.

Other “residents” include Thing (a disembodied hand that lives in boxes placed around the house); a cowardly pet lion called Kit Kat, a pampered carnivorous plant (an African Strangler) called Cleopatra and hairy Cousin Itt (played by Felix Silla with the voice provided by Tony Magro).

From their offbeat sense of style to their endless love for each other, The Addams Family turns traditional family dynamics on their head with wit, charm, and a unique brand of dark humor. Every episode is filled with laugh-out-loud moments, clever gags, and memorable one-liners that have stood the test of time.

As the theme song announces, they are” creepy and kooky”. Yet, on the other hand, the mother and father are utterly smitten with one another, they dote on their children, and the kids are respectful of their elders and both the grandmother and uncle are loved and respected. Extended family members are admired, and Lurch shows great devotion to his employers, Thing is appreciated for his helpfulness, and visitors are always welcome and treated with generosity and courtesy.

Notable guest star appearances: Margaret Hamilton, Don Rickles, Marty Ingels, Ellen Corby, Alan Reed, Irene Tedrow, Madge Blake, Jesse White, Vito Scotti, Stanley Adams, Hal Smith, Parley Baer, Richard Deacon, Elvira Allman, Jack Barry, Meg Wyllie, Peter Bonerz and Jack LaLanne.
