STONES FOR IBARRA (CBS 1/29/88)

Sara (Glenn Close) and Richard (Keith Carradine) are a young American couple who escape the rat race of big city life and embark on an odyssey set in the beautiful landscapes of rural Mexico in 1959. In the village of Ibarra, they soon discover the strange mystical and spiritual nature of the poor villagers they have come to live among. Then suddenly, Richard is faces with terminal illness. Worlds of past and present collide. The specter of his sickness now shadows the fascination that was, and the future they searched for.
