BORROWED HEARTS (CBS-TVM 11/30/97)

Kathleen Russell (Roma Downey, "Touched by an Angel") is a factory worker and a single mother to seven-year-old Zoey (Sarah Rosen Fruitman). Her daughter has to Christmas wishes: to live in a beautiful home, and the return of the father who deserted her. Zoey’s halfway there when she and her mom are hired by Kathleen’s boss, Sam (Eric McCormack, "Will & Grace"), to move into his mansion and pose as his kin. The ruse is meant to impress a visiting businessman (Hector Elizondo), a family man who thinks Sam shares his values. The guest’s mysterious ways leave Zoey sure he is more than mortal and praying that he will grant her second wish—unaware her real dad is on his way home.
