THE LUCIE ARNAZ SHOW – THE COMPLETE SERIES (CBS 1985) LUCIE ARNAZ, TONY ROBERTS, MELISSA JOAN HART
Arnaz played 31-year-old psychologist Dr Jane Lucas, who dispensed advice on a New York radio call-in show for WPLE-AM (nicknamed “Advice Radio 88”) from Manhattan in this short-lived sitcom (6 episodes) from 1985.
The Love and Lucas Show – “Your spot for music and mental health in the afternoon” combined the psychological advice of Dr Lucas with the comic talents of Larry Love (Todd Waring) and his invisible dog, Tippy.
Jane also juggled a private practice and a freelance writing gig with a daily advice column in the Daily Mirror called “Dear Jane”.
Other characters included station manager Jim Gordon (Tony Roberts), Jane’s sister Jill (Lee Bryant) and Jill’s children, Sarah (Melissa Joan Hart - “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch”) and Billy (Sandy Schwartz).
This rare series was not recorded from television and the episodes are studio quality.
