JOANIE LOVES CHACHI – THE COMPLETE SERIES (ABC 1982-83) Scott Baio, Erin Moran, Ellen Travolta, Al Molinaro, Art Metrano, Winifred Freedman, Derrel Maury, Robert Pierce
Joanie Loves Chachi is a short-lived American television spin-off of the sitcom Happy Days that was originally broadcast on ABC from March 23, 1982 to May 24, 1983.
Produced by Garry Marshall, the series was set in the 1960's and centered on the romantic adventures of Joanie Cunningham (Erin Moran) and her boyfriend Chachi Arcola (Scott Baio), when they move to Chicago with his mother Louisa (Ellen Travolta) and stepfather Al (Al Molinaro) and start a singing career, often performing at his family's Italian restaurant.
Chachi’s cousins Annette (Winifred Freedman) and Mario (Derrel Maury) and spaced-out drummer Bingo (Robert Pierce) made up their band and his uncle Rico Mastorelli (Art Metrano) was their manager.
Besides trying to keep Joanie happy being away from her family in Milwaukee, Chachi must also deal with the often unwanted, but sometimes needed, advice and interference from his friends, relatives and neighbors.
