This is absolutely ESSENTIAL Alice in Chains from the height of their career. Alice in Chains is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 1987 by guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell and drummer Sean Kinney, who later recruited bassist Mike Starr and lead vocalist Layne Staley.
Live Facelift captures the band in all their glory, showing how powerful the band was in their younger days. Staley's voice is in full force and Cantrell's guitar playing is among his most expressive.
The 40 minute DVD features the band doing 5 songs on stage and 3 music videos. The black and white provides a rather grainy quality on what is an otherwise exceptional live performance.
All in all, Live Facelift is a must-have for Alice fans, an essential footnote in the career of a band that was probably Seattle's most unfulfilled talent.
