The sky's the limit! Here's jet-age hilarity ... a series of supersonic flights into zany fun with British actress and comedian Millicent Martin and American actress Patte (Pat) Finley (“The Bob Newhart Show”), two high-spirited air stewardesses facing one dizzy dilemma after another in this rarely seen ITC series.

Scatterbrained Briton Air hostess, Millie Grover (Martin) finds that her good-natured approach to the passengers is always landing her in difficult situations. Her heart rules her head when holding out a helping hand to those in trouble, but the helping hand is often an unintentional push into even greater complications. She relies upon her American colleague, best friend and housemate, Maggie, to rescue her from her predicaments. Maggie knows that every trip is going to be a flight into fantastic adventure in one part of the world or another. Her American wit provides a perfect foil to Millie's individualistic sense of humor.

Peter Jones, as the girls' long-suffering harassed airline boss Clyde Beauchamp and Robert Cawdron as Millie's amusing Irish uncle Bert, adds to the fun of this whirlwind comedy.

Guest stars included Arthur Mullard, Jess Conrad, Richard Briers, Frank Thornton, Carmen Munro, Clive Dunn and John Laurie and writers included TEB Clarke, Eric Green, Tom Brennand and Roy Bottomley, Brad Ashton and Lew Schwarz.

From a Bird's Eye View was a co-produced sitcom made by ATV and Lew Grade’s ITC Entertainment. It was filmed in England with a mix of American and English talent. Much of the same production team would later work on the Shirley MacLaine series Shirley's World (also available from Rewatch Classic TV). The sitcom was made in 1969 as NBC originally ordered the series for entry in the 1969-70 TV season but pushed it back to the 1970-71 season as a mid-season replacement. The series was executive produced by Sheldon Leonard and was shown in both the UK and the US.
