WESTERNER, THE - THE COMPLETE SERIES (NBC 1960) Brian Keith

$ 12.95
- +

Brian Keith (Family Affair) stars in The Westerner, the 1960 television series created by the legendary director and screenwriter Sam Peckinpah (Straw Dogs, Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid.)

Keith plays the drifter Dave Blassingame, a congenial cowhand who’s as good with a gun as he is with the ladies.  Along with his faithful dog, Brown, Blassingame wanders the West, finding adventure and excitement on his journey.  Although short-lived in its original television run, The Westerner was critically acclaimed, and represents an excellent opportunity for discerning Western fans to witness some of Peckinpah’s early work in the genre.

Includes the unofficial pilot “Trouble at Tres Cruces” that aired as an episode of Dick Powell’s Zane Grey Theatre and directed by Sam Peckinpah, along with the 12 episodes produced.

Guest stars include Neville Brand, Michael Ansara, John Dehner, Madlyn Rhue, Warren Oates, Robert Culp, Slim Pickens.
