What a TV gem this is! This 1969 ABC TV special was filmed after Cass Elliot left The Mamas & The Papas in 1968 to begin her solo career. It was a pilot for a potential weekly variety series starring Cass, but unfortunately, the series was never picked up by the network.

The special features Cass as the host, along with her guest stars including:

Joni Mitchell: Performed “Both Sides Now”

Mary Travers: Performed “And When I Die”

John Sebastian: Performed with The Lovin’ Spoonful on “Darlin’ Companion

Cass in comedy sketches featuring Buddy Hackett, Martin Landau and Barbar Bain.

This special also included bonus footage of Cass and Sammy Davis, Jr. singing “I Dig Rock & Roll Music”, and an interview with John Sebastian about Cass and The Mamas & The Papas.
